SchermNed screen installations and Ruben Voois a great match!

Ruben has been working as a project leader at SchermNed for more than two months now and it seems as if he has been there for years - a great match, says director/owner Jack van der Voort. Ruben is 38 years old, lives around the corner and his 20 years of experience brings fresh ideas with him.

Case in point. Ruben started at the age of 18 as a mechanic and over the years has developed into a complete project leader. With the arrival of Ruben, SchermNed now has three project leaders: Arthur, Peter and Ruben.

Ruben has all the qualities that SchermNed would like to see in its new team member. After Jack and Ruben proved to be a good match on a Saturday morning during a coffee break, also on a personal level, the deal was quickly done. Knowledge, skills, feeling and pleasure in work were an important basis!

What qualities are we talking about? He is technically well versed, straightforward, solution-oriented and transparent. This can also be seen in the way he arrived at SchermNed, Ruben tells us about this himself:

“I met Arthur (another SchermNed project leader) and knew him from the past after which we struck up a conversation. In the conversation Arthur indicated that there was still room for a new project leader, especially now that the family business is growing. After some good conversations with Jack about the possibilities and my future, the decision was quickly made. As a subcontractor I have worked with SchermNed in the past, so I already knew many of the guys within the company and I am familiar with the culture that prevails there. Besides horticulture, SchermNed's utility branch also appeals to me”.

Ruben will be recording and supervising projects. He will therefore be involved in the technical recording and implementation of screen installations, insect netting and air mechanisms in existing and new construction projects. Both within the Netherlands and worldwide and will take care of the right people, materials and machines. As project leader it is his responsibility to ensure that projects run as smoothly as possible and to switch quickly when challenges arise to ensure a satisfied customer and the best end product!
