SchermNed and Vitrona are expanding!

With great pride we present our expansion; an additional building at a location perfect for us! Because our 2 family businesses SchermNed & Vitrona are developing so well, we were looking for more space to realize our expansion with both companies. We succeeded in a grandiose way, with a new building directly adjacent to our existing premises!

690 m2 of additional space

The additional space that will become available amounts to 690 m2! This does not even include the upper floor, where there is also a considerable amount of space available. The idea is to accommodate SchermNed in the new premises, so that Vitrona will have more space available in the existing premises. In this way we can organize everything efficiently and conveniently, so that we can continue to grow together in a healthy way.

Lucky break

Finding an additional building in such an ideal location actually came as a 'stroke of luck'. The property was being used by Bull's, a wholesaler of Darts products. Jack van der Voort had a chat with the owner of Bull's, as you often do when you bump into your neighbor. In the process, Bull's relocation plans came to light by chance, after which the ball quickly started rolling. Talks eventually started with real estate agent Vollebregt Barten and the new premises for Vitrona & SchermNed soon became a reality.

Renovation

Because the property was fairly dated, the first thing that needed to be done was remodeling. After some walls were demolished, a new concrete floor was poured, including a beautiful heating system. The heating system can eventually be combined with heat pumps, which will also make the building energy neutral. Of course, we have to keep up with the times! Meanwhile, the building is also already filled with the necessary new racks and machines, so ready for use.

Official opening

Last weekend we could finally make the new building 'official'. We would have loved to do this with our partners, relations, neighbors, suppliers and subcontractors, but because of Covid this was of course not possible. Small-scale, but very successful we finally did it with the permanent team.

As soon as it is possible again there will still be a grand opening, because of course this has to be celebrated in a big way!
