New in our range: Noctis Thermo

Sustainable cultivation is a top priority in the greenhouse horticulture sector. It’s no coincidence that a subsidy scheme is now in place to support sustainability in new construction projects. Our suppliers are also responding actively to this development. Our trusted supplier Phormium has launched the completely renewed Noctis Thermo screen: a high-tech fabric designed to meet the current challenges in greenhouse cultivation. This 100% aluminium screen delivers impressive results: up to 72% energy savings, 99% shading efficiency, fire classification 1 according to NTA 8825 and — not unimportant — a more attractive price than many traditional screens.

More Than Just Energy Savings

Noctis Thermo goes beyond energy efficiency. Thanks to its unique composition, this screen actively contributes to better growing conditions inside your greenhouse. It provides:

  • Reduced crop radiation
  • Increased plant temperature, especially valuable during colder periods
  • A lower risk of crop diseases

Additionally, the fabric pairs well with LED lighting and is highly suitable for use in variable screen systems.

Woven Instead of Knitted: More Stable and Durable

What sets Noctis Thermo apart is Phormium’s unique weaving technology. While many screens are knitted, this one is woven — and that brings several advantages: less stretch, better shape retention, a longer lifespan, and more consistent shading performance.

MEP® Technology: Smart Heat Control

Noctis Thermo is developed using Phormium’s patented MEP® technology, which gives the fabric a very low thermal radiation transmission coefficient. This means the heat inside your greenhouse stays in — without compromising on light quality.

Safe and Flame-Retardant

Noctis Thermo also delivers when it comes to safety. The fabric is flame-retardant and meets fire classification 1 according to NTA 8825, making it suitable for greenhouses with higher fire safety requirements.

Widely Applicable in Your Greenhouse

Noctis Thermo can be used in various screening strategies, including:

  • Assimilation screen in LED-lit crops
  • Night screen for unlit crops
  • Top screen in variable screen systems
