‘Get your hands dirty’ for more greenery at SchermNed & Vitrona

Business parks are well known for their functional and utilitarian design, i.e., as many parking spaces as possible and minimal maintenance. In Westland, as a municipality, but also as individuals, we have a responsibility to make a greener contribution to improving the flora and fauna.

Great news during the storm, because soon when you enter Naaldwijk (and also exit the new residential area Het Woerdblok) you will be greeted with more greenery this spring! After weeks of hard work by the gardeners of Van der Drift, the front garden of VITRONA zonwering | terrasoverkappingen & SchermNed scherming | insectengaas has been given a unique makeover.

The family business has chosen to create as much greenery as possible in the design (in addition to functional parking spaces). The aim was to create more biodiversity, better drainage of rainwater, a wheelchair-friendly showroom and also a nicer place for business associates, our neighbours and of course our own team. As the icing on the cake, through a fun initiative, 'Get your hands dirty’ on Saturday 19 February, after a cup of coffee, limo and cake, part of our own team, including children, planted the trees, plants and flowers. What a great atmosphere and a unique experience for and with each other!

And how nice it is to arrive at work in more natural and pleasant surroundings. Thanks to the specific choice of plants, staff may soon be welcomed by a fluttering butterfly
or buzzing bee  ? in the morning. More greenery! Most certainly if it is also proven that it makes the inner person more pleasant, since we all look forward to a healthy combination of work, private life, nature, health and well-being.
