Projects

SchermNed has carried out numerous special projects in recent years. From sizeable new-build projects and renovations in the horticultural sector, to unique customized solutions for the garden center and non-residential construction sectors.

RAI Amsterdam

Since taking over Alsemgeest Scherminstallaties on 15 April 2024, SchermNed has proudly continued its long-term relationship with RAI Amsterdam. We were soon given the opportunity to carry out the first project, working with Van Dorp Installaties, which is responsible for the maintenance of the RAI.

Midden Nederland Hallen

The Midden Nederland Hallen in Barneveld are a unique location with a circular greenhouse originally from the Floriade 2022 in Almere. After dismantling the greenhouses, they were rebuilt in Barneveld. A challenging operation in which SchermNed was commissioned to realise a climate solution using both old and new materials, with Raymond Mauritz of Reytec the builder of this project.

Gebr. Nederpel pot plants

‘The climate in the greenhouse is exactly what I had hoped for’ told pot chrysanthemum grower René de Bakker from Wateringen. He had insect netting installed by SchermNed at one of his three locations in March. Despite the ‘crappy summer’, René soon noticed the benefits of the insect netting: ‘During the hot days we did have, the temperature in the greenhouse with netting remained the same as that in the greenhouse without netting.’

Holstein Flowers protects their gerberas with insect netting filter

Holstein Flowers from De Lier, like SchermNed, is a close-knit family company that has been growing gerberas since 1974. They are now one of the largest gerbera growers in the world with two locations of almost 11 hectares combined. Holstein Flowers chose the SchermNed insect mesh filter system to protect their gerbera cultivation in an environmentally friendly way.
